Since 1887 on the first Friday in March every year, millions of Christians have gathered worldwide to pray for the issues of family, violence, child abuse, human trafficking and other forms of injustice. The day of prayer is celebrated in over 170 countries.The Service for the Bentleigh/Moorabbin Churches in 2024, will be a prayer service for Peace. It will be held at Leighmoor Uniting Church, 185 Wickham Rd. Moorabbin at 10:30 AM on Friday 1st March.

On Sunday February 11th the congregation is asked to bring the money that they have collected for the Coffee Cup Challenge. There will be a retiring offering. We will be cooking and serving pancakes for Morning Tea. The cost will be a Gold Coin Donation.All money will go to ‘Uniting Vic. Tas’. to continue their work with local communities supporting people who are homeless, have drug, alcohol or mental health challenges, people living with disabilities, refugees. They also provide aged care services including supporting Chapel Court, residential units adjacent to the Church buildings.

On May 7th, there will be no service at Leighmoor as there is a combined service at 10AM at Murrumbeena Uniting Church

There will be a brief Congregational meeting immediately after the service on Sunday 23rd April, to reflect on the past year and to elect Church Councillors for next 12 months to 2 years.  If you haven’t received a copy of the Annual Report, please contact Michael Soward:
