I was conducting a Bible study for our country parish Ladies Guild.
There was a scratching noise at the closed door and a lady opened it.
It was Angie, our little dog, who had come via the Manse paddock path to visit us.
She was invited in and sat quietly beside the table as part of our fellowship.
It reminded me of God’s creative plan that all creatures great and small were equally important in the fellowship of heaven and earth.
Each in his own way is there to serve and enjoy the role created for each one.
We are to value every creature great and small as worthy of its place in his plan.
I remember some churches having special services when animals were blessed as special.
Pets are special ministers.
